Fixed Length Recording

Posted by

I have to be honest when I tell you, fixed length recording literally changed my life! It may seem crazy but this single feature really gave me the workflow I’ve desired for so many years and tried to replicate with so many different pieces of gear. Think of it as a looper…but not, but it is…but it’s not! Hahaha, ok, the part that really got me is that it works with audio as well as MIDI.

I’m 97% audio when working, so being able to capture a specific loop length when recording audio means I don’t have to manually stop the clip, so I can play out the part exactly as needed instead of rushing myself to make sure I stop it on time (or I’d have to edit). If I want to play my Rhodes for 8 bars…I can do it, and not have to be by my computer or Push controller to stop it. Vocals, synths, guitar, bass, whatever it is you’re recording, plugins, midi, anything. This video will show you what I mean and why I love it.
